With his first concert appearances coming in 2006, Father John Misty has been a consistent performer. Many of his greatest concerts came to North American venues, but this performer has seen plenty of fans and excellent shows across Europe as well. His blending of styles lends itself to audiences that are craving a fresh new sound or a timeless musical experience.

Like many artists early in their careers, Misty started off with a relatively small number of live performances per year. In fact, he’s played only a reported 41 concerts from 2006-20010.

But then he kicked things into high gear after taking the 2011 concert year off with over 370 concerts played from 2012-2015. And many of these concerts were at the best venues across the globe as well as the hottest music festivals and special events in the world. This includes a stunning show aboard the Silhouette Celebrity Cruises with the S.S. Coachella music Festival At Sea on December 23, 2012.

The trend continued in 2015, where Misty played over 140 concerts in that year alone. Fans and critics cited the year as one of Misty’s finest years for live performances, especially when they look at incredible shows like his visit to Tempe, Arizona’s The Marquee Theatre on April 20, 2015. After this, Misty played nearly 300 concerts from 2016-2019, and fans were confident that he would continue this meteoric pace.

But then the pandemic struck and Misty had to cancel all concerts that year and only played 3 shows in 2021. But this year he’s back on his stride with 51 concerts played and planned for 2022 and 7 concerts currently lined up for 2023.
